Here you go Pam!

Okay, I have actually had an inquiry from my cousin Pam why I hadn't blogged. We all just returned from a 6 day trip to Orlando to put our Florida Resident passes to good use, so I am just now recovering from that whole adventure.

First off, I have to send out a big thank you to my cousin Vicki. My girls are so lucky that we have such a talented relative that is kind enough to make these cute outfits for them. Every time we wear one of her creations I get so many compliments and questions about who made them.

Leah had her very first field trip to see Billy Goat Gruff, operatic style. I volunteered to chaperon the class, and had forgotten how it felt to ride the big yellow buses. I was pleasantly surprised to see seat belts on ours, but Leah said they didn't have any of the bus she rides. You would think on a bus load of kids, seat belts might be a good idea. I know, I know, they worry about kids beating each other up with the buckles, but personally I would take that chance if it meant my child was buckled in. Here are some of the kids in the hallway as we gathered to load up. Notice the shirts that Kybert's Dad made for all of the children to wear. It was a great way to identify the kids.
Leah & Gavin on the bus. It was nice to have a friend in the class for Leah's very first year of elementary school.
The kids excitingly awaiting the start of the play.

Back at school, I was so proud of the whole class, and how well they behaved for the production. It was very well done and they had extremely talented performers from a Regional Opera Company. They tweaked the story to teach the children that being a bully is no way to make friends. It was a good sentiment to teach a group of kindergartners, get them while they are young.
Later that day, the rain finally came. Since there was no lightning or thunder, I thought it would be a perfect time to play in the puddles.

A couple extra pictures from the next day, where my Dad joined us on a trip to get horse feed. Just so happens the Dairy Queen was a convenient stop for lunch.
