Getting ready for Christmas!

I grew up with a real tree every year for Christmas, and we did it for the first 5 years of marriage. But after carrying 7-9 foot, very dry, trees out after the holidays, and cleaning up all of those shedding needles, I finally agreed with Joe that we should try the fake tree route.
It does have certain advantages. We can put it up at any point, and leave it for as long as we like. There is no watering. No funky dead plant smell after a few weeks. So overall, we like the fake tree, and once we shower it with lights and ornaments, I don't even know if you see much of the tree.

The day after we got back from our trip to Georgia for Thanksgiving, Joe drug out the tree and all of the house decorations. The girls were thrilled, and are beginning to be a big help in decorating.
