Margarittaville

This has been one of the strangest summers I have ever had living on the Gulf Coast, thanks to BP oil. Don't get me wrong, we have had lots of good times, but I usually have tons of pictures of us enjoying the beach, and this summer we have been missing the beach and our beautiful ocean. Joe and I had to go over to Pensacola today, so on the way home we stopped at Jimmy Buffet's new hotel on the beach. It was a perfect afternoon to play tourist and take in the sights. A sweet guy jumped up and insisted on taking our picture for us, so glad he did. You would never know the water was off limits by it's beautiful appearance.
Pensacola Pier in the background
The hotel, it was very pretty, and you feel like you are in the islands once you walk through the doors.
First thing you see when you enter the lobby, a free lemonade stand.Land Shark Bar next door to the hotel.Fins to Left, fins to the right.
It's always a great day when we get the time to slow down and enjoy our beautiful gulf coast.
There were hammocks hanging from the palm trees, and numerous chairs to soak up the sun and even a ping pong table. What more could you ask for?
We took the scenic drive home, and there are some great structures on that drive.
The UFO house.
A purple one, took this just for Laura, although I think she would really like a rainbow house, but purple might do in a pinch.
Passing the beach trolley car on the way.
Another dome house.
