Saturday

We had a jam packed Saturday, starting off at the soccer field for Laura's game.
Coach Sherman giving the kids some direction.

Laura has been really interested in the horses lately, and has asked me several times to go riding. This was her second day in a row to want to go to the barn. She has ridden both Dixie & Rider, and is really enjoying it!

I took this on the way over to the barn, and I just thought it turned out so pretty. It reminded me of a poster or one of my horse catalogs.
Giving Rider a pat.
She's doing much better about listening at the barn, but it still makes me a little nervous. She's still so little and they are so BIG. Luckily they are both very sweet & mostly well behaved horses, but I still need to teach her to be cautious.

Leah said at first that she would rather stay in the house, but just a few minutes after Laura was on, she came running over saying she wanted to ride too.

She wasn't exactly dressed for riding, but at least we've got the helmet on.

To round out our busy day we joined some friends at the beach. Kind of funny to see this fall setting at the entrance to the boardwalk. We do what we can to get into the fall spirit, even if it is 90 degrees outside.

Another beautiful Florida night.
See the little black shapes in the water, surfers catching the last waves of the day.

Laura wanted to check out the water, and even now in October it was very comfortable.

I told her not to get too wet, but I knew she would be dripping wet if we got anywhere near the ocean.

Zach, Gavin, Leah & Laura hamming it up.

You really captured some great shots. I'll have to go through my pictures and send you mine.
