Done with the 6th Birthday Celebrations

Leah has had more opportunities to celebrate turning 6 than she probably ever thought possible. We concluded the festivities on her actual birthday by surprising her at school, to have lunch with her. Laura was so excited to be able to go to the lunchroom with the big kids.
Joe even came from work to share the fun.
Leah coming in to the lunchroom, she was very surprised. She gave Laura the biggest hug, and I think she was the most excited to see her.
My goofy girls.

The whole class gathered outside to enjoy birthday cupcakes.
The most popular lady on the playground, maybe the box of cupcakes had something to do with that. The funny thing is several of the kids took a couple bites and then said they were done. They actually threw them away, and then went and played.
I wish I felt the same way about sweets.
The kids on the playground.
Leah and Jessica, they have been friends since Leah's first year at pre-school at 2 years old. We've shared every birthday with her since then.
They are so much fun together.
Caught Gavin high up in the air.
Laura fit right in with all of the kids, and made fast friends with Juliana.
We had my parents over that night for a final celebration. Leah's choice for the night's dinner was pizza. We finished with another round of cupcakes.
Leah is reading like crazy, so I thought this Dr. Seuss Birthday book would be perfect for her.
Grandmother & Grandaddy gave the girls Ariel outfits, and if you didn't know I think Laura may be part mermaid. She is slightly obsessed with Ariel.
Friday
The school had a silly hat and socks day to celebrate doing so well on their fundraiser. Finally that $12 clown hat from the circus had a purpose!
