Our first beach day of the season...

On Friday, the last day of the girls' Spring Break, we gathered our trusty beach stroller and filled it full with buckets, shovels, towels, etc...and headed out to the beach. We are so fortunate to live within a 10 minute drive of some of the world's most beautiful beaches.
My friend Christin and her family met up with us, here's Ryan trying to lay his towel down, but it turned into a kite with the winds.
Reagan, such a good boy, even smiled for my camera.
Leah warming up in the sunshine after a dip in the very cool ocean. Us locals can spot a tourist a mile away, they are the ones that are going to get in that water no matter how cold it is, while most of us hold out for warmer months. Except for the children, they don't seem to have any feeling when it comes to playing in the water.

Laura checking out the water...
Holy cow, that's cold!!!!

You know the water must have been chilly if Laura noticed it. All wrapped up!

We had a great time catching up with Christin's family, the kids ran all over the place and enjoyed all the regular beachy things: building sand castles, splashing in the waves, a picnic lunch & I was a good Mom, and even remembered to bring scrap bread for the seagulls.

Couldn't resist capturing the Wisteria that has engulfed the tree in our back yard. It only blooms once a year, but when it does it just fills the air with it's sweet perfume and carpets the ground with it's lavender petals.
Hunter taking in the afternoon. He's been having serious back problems lately, so we've all been trying to pamper him.
And little Miss Princess Sparkle Lily enjoying watch over her kingdom.
