Annual Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Saturday night, after the birthday party, we all went to a neighboring town's pumpkin patch. It truly makes the Fall Season for us and we all enjoy it.
The girls love bouncing in the blow up house.

The sea of pumpkins, coming in all shapes, sizes and even colors.

The petting zoo was a big hit with the girls.
Look how they are longingly gazing at this pony. Now, these are two girls that have horses right next door, but for some reason there is nothing like a cute pony to capture a kid's heart.

They each get to choose one little pumpkin to paint.

You can barely make it out, but that's Leah in the petting zoo picking up baby bunnies for that other girl. I'm not really sure what led her to believe she was the bunny whisperer, never holding a bunny before, but she did pretty good. The zoo was run some horse show friends of ours, and she said Leah was hired!
Laura had the face painter make her a heart.

Joe is our official carver. Each of the girls got to contribute their ideas for how it should look.

Watching Joe scoop out the pumpkin guts.

Leah is not fond of this at all...can you tell?
