Leah's fieldtrip this year was to the local airport. And at first, this didn't sound that exciting. Our girls have been fortunate enough to take several airplane trips, so they are familiar with airports, but as I learned as a chaperone, not every child has had the same chance. And even as a veteran traveler, we all got the chance to learn about a different side of the airport.
Our guide telling us about the jet out front of the airport, we are a very proud military town!
Leading a very excited group of 3rd graders through the airport.
Another sign of our military pride, a high flying USO banner.
The kids watching the planes taxi in and out.
The whole class.
