At the time of Leah's Birthday, she was OWL crazy! She is an avid reader, and she has just raced through the "Owls of Ga'hoole" series. First she had a school celebration. Stopping outside school for some quick Birthday portraits.

The teacher was so smart to take all the kids and the cupcakes outside, makes for a much easier clean-up.
The owl theme continued for her big Birthday Party where we had the local animal rescue association come with three of their recuperating owls. They were amazing to see so close, right on our back deck. I think the kids and adults enjoyed the demonstration.
We were so happy to have some of our cousins make it to the party: Laura, Marco, Leah, Isabel & Luisa
Laura made this beautiful owl picture and we thought it would make the perfect decoration for the party.
